What packagingand labels cost

The price of a packaging design depends on how many variants the range has, whether you need 3D visuals and how complex the finishes are. Printing is a separate cost you order from the manufacturer.

Design is not print

In a design quote you pay for the artwork laid out on the manufacturer dieline, the visuals and the print files. You order the run itself directly from the packaging manufacturer or the label printer, and its price depends on the material, quantity and finishes.

What a packaging design costs

One pack with a 3D visual costs from 1,600 PLN net and includes the design on the dieline, a visual from every side, three packshots on white and print files with finish layers. It takes 2-3 weeks.

A range of up to three variants, such as flavours or sizes, costs from 3,400 PLN and takes 3-5 weeks. A line of up to eight products with rules for future variants costs from 6,900 PLN and takes 6-8 weeks.

What a label design costs

A front and back label for one product costs from 700 PLN net. A range of three labels with rules for further variants starts at 1,500 PLN and a line of up to eight variants at 2,900 PLN.

What raises the price

The number of variants changes the most, along with whether each needs its own illustration. Then there are finishes such as spot varnish, hot foil or embossing, which need separate layers in the file, and the number of visuals and packshots for the shop.

A 3D visual lets you see the pack from every side before you pay for the first run.

How to prepare for a quote

Prepare the dieline or pack dimensions, the list of variants, the mandatory labelling text checked by a technologist, the barcode and the planned run. The fuller the information, the more accurate the quote and the fewer changes at proof stage.
