Game logo
The title in a full version and a simplified one for small sizes, in colour and single colour.
We design game logos that read on a small Steam capsule and impress on the title screen, and game studio logos with an identity and a short intro animation. A game logo starts at 1,400 PLN net, and a game logo together with a studio logo at 2,600 PLN.
A game logo starts at 1,400 PLN net, a game logo together with a studio logo at 2,600 PLN, and a studio identity with an intro animation at 4,400 PLN. Yes, that is one of the conditions of the project. We check every concept at small capsule size and the smaller versions Steam makes from it, and design a simplified version where needed.
We check every version on a capsule, the title screen and at icon size before delivering files.
The title in a full version and a simplified one for small sizes, in colour and single colour.
A transparent PNG up to 1280 px wide or 720 px high, to place over the hero image.
The studio mark and name in horizontal, vertical and avatar versions.
Logo colours and typefaces for use in game and studio materials.
In the top package, a short animation of the studio mark as video and a PNG sequence.
SVG, PDF and PNG at the required sizes, with notes on where to use each version.
A game logo is more than the name in a nice typeface. It has to convey the genre and mood, fit on a capsule 462 by 174 pixels in size, and still look good across a full title screen, on a collector's edition box and on a T-shirt. That is a lot for one mark, so we design it in several versions from the start.
A studio logo has a different job. It appears before the game in the intro, on the website, on social profiles, on a trade show booth and in the credits. It should be simple, recognisable at small sizes and versatile enough to suit future games in different genres.
Lunatic Studios, a game studio, is one of the brands we designed from scratch. A studio logo works in many places at once, and in some of them it moves: in the intro, as an animated avatar, on a loading screen. That is why in the top package the studio mark gets a short animation, ready to drop in at the start of the game.
Economic rights to the logo pass to you once the invoice is paid, and the package includes every version and the vector files your game, website and merch need.

Game logo versus studio logo
Game logo
It has to sell one game: convey the genre, mood and world. It can be rich in detail, because it lives mainly on key art and the title screen.
Studio logo
It has to outlast many games in different genres. It should be simple, neutral towards the style of the games and legible as a small avatar.
One family
When a studio releases a series, we design rules that connect the logos of each title with the studio brand.
Animation
A studio logo appears in motion: in the intro, on loading screens and as an animated avatar, so we design it to be easy to animate.

We reserve about 15% of the project time for revisions. It helps to have the game name settled before the sketches, because the lettering is designed around specific letters.
The price depends on the number of marks and on whether the logo needs animation and materials.
A game logo and a studio logo are two separate projects with their own concepts.
Letters drawn from scratch take more work than a composition in a stock typeface.
An intro animation means preparing the mark in layers and a separate edit.
A long title with a subtitle needs more layout variants.
Studios before an announcement
When the title needs a logo before key art, capsules and the trailer.
New studios
When the studio is starting out and needs a mark for the intro, website and profiles.
Solo developers
When the game has a name but the title on the start screen is a placeholder.
Publishers of game series
When each new title should have a logo from one family.
Games with a crowdfunding campaign
When the logo has to appear on the campaign page, rewards and merch.
A settled name matters most. We can gather the rest in the brief.

Many games have a logo set in a stock typeface with an effect: an outline, a shadow, a texture. Such a logo is hard to tell apart from hundreds of others and hard to protect as a trademark. That is why we design the game title as lettering: letterforms matched to the mood of the game and to each other.
Custom lettering also solves the problem of long titles. Words can be set on two lines, the key word emphasised and the rest subordinated, so the logo fits a wide capsule and the nearly square vertical capsule.
Steam advises that the logo should nearly fill the small capsule, and it makes even smaller versions from it. At that size thin lines, effects and small ornaments merge into a blur. That is why we look at every concept at search result size right away, next to other games.
If the full logo has a lot of detail, we design a simplified version: thicker lines, no textures, sometimes only the key word of the title. Both versions are part of one system, so players recognise the game at any size.
A studio releases games in different genres and styles, and its logo appears before each of them. A mark that suits only one title starts to get in the way with the next game. That is why we design a studio logo simpler and more neutral than a game logo, with character that does not impose a style on future productions.
In the Studio Identity package you also get a short intro animation of the mark. We deliver it as video and as a transparent PNG sequence your programmer can place on the start screen in the game engine.
