In short

How much does a brand identity cost at Aphrodi?

Identity Start costs from 2,900 PLN net, Standard from 5,400 PLN and the Full System from 9,800 PLN. The price depends on the number of concepts, the size of the documentation and the number of materials. Before we start, you get a quote listing every element, so you know what you are paying for. Start takes 3 to 4 weeks, Standard 4 to 6 weeks and the Full System 6 to 8 weeks, counted from the approved brief and the deposit. The biggest factor is how quickly decisions are made when choosing a concept.

What a visual identity is and why it is worth designing

A visual identity is the set of fixed elements that let customers recognise a company without reading its name: the logo in several versions, colours, typefaces, a graphic motif and the rules for combining them. The logo is only one of those elements. Without the rest, every new material starts from scratch, and a year later you have five shades of the same colour, three fonts and a flyer that looks nothing like your website.

We start with a conversation and a brief, not with drawing. We look at who you compete with, who buys from you and where the brand will be seen most: on a sign, on social media, on packaging or in a PDF proposal. That decides whether the mark must stay readable at 16 pixels or can afford detail.

The concept comes from the person leading creative direction, and the vectors, templates and files from our graphic designer. We show every concept on real applications straight away, because almost any logo looks fine on a white slide. The real test is a business card, an avatar and a one-colour print.

You end up with a system your team, your printer and any future designer can use: source files, colours in RGB, CMYK and HEX, licensed typefaces and a brand book with rules and examples of misuse. Full economic rights pass to you once the order is paid in full.

How an identity comes together

  1. Brief and call1-3 days

A free consultation, the brief, a quote and a schedule. We start once the 50% deposit is paid.

    1
  2. Research and moodboard3-5 days

Competitors, audience and the places the brand will appear. We show 2 to 3 style directions.

    2
  3. Concepts1-2 weeks

Sketches, then refined concepts shown straight away on a card, a website and social media.

    3
  4. Revisions and system1-2 weeks

Revisions to the chosen concept, colours, typefaces, the graphic motif and the package materials.

    4
  5. Brand book and files3-5 days

The brand book, export of every file and transfer of rights once paid in full.

    5

We reserve about 15% of the project time for revisions. In the Standard package that means several days of work rather than a fixed number of rounds, so you can give feedback whenever it is needed.

What a brand identity price depends on

Two identities costing 3,000 and 10,000 PLN can look similar at the first presentation. The difference is how much work goes into the system around the logo.

  1. 1

    Number of concepts

Each concept is a separate direction with research and applications, not a colour variant. That is why a package with three concepts costs clearly more than one with a single concept.

  2. 2

    Size of the documentation

A logo sheet is one page, brand guidelines up to 24 pages and a brand book up to 48. More rules and examples mean fewer questions from printers and new hires.

  3. 3

    Number of materials

A business card and an email signature are a different scope from letterhead, a folder, a proposal, a presentation and social templates designed within the system.

  4. 4

    Extra elements

A graphic motif, a pattern, icons and illustrations make the brand recognisable without the logo, but each one is separate design work.

  5. 5

    Deadline

Standard timelines are included in the price. A shorter deadline means moving other projects, so we agree it separately before we start.

How not to overpay

  • Start with Identity Start if the business is just launching and add the brand book once you have a team
  • Prepare a brief with competitors and inspiration so revision time goes on details, not on finding a direction
  • Collect feedback in one message rather than several separate ones
  • Choose typefaces with a free commercial licence if your licence budget is limited

Who we design identities for

  • New businesses before launch

Before ordering a sign, business cards and a website, it pays to have one system. Designing it once costs less than fixing five materials.

  • Companies with inconsistent materials

Each material was made by someone else and the brand looks different in every channel. We bring it in line without starting from zero.

  • Product brands

Packaging, an online store and marketplace listings must look like one brand. We design the identity with the shelf in mind.

  • Startups, SaaS and software houses

The brand and the product interface are designed in one style, and the software house VulCode builds the website.

  • Foundations and associations

A simple system that volunteers can apply in Canva and on an ordinary office printer.

How to prepare for the project

You do not need everything. This information shortens the first call and lets us give you an exact price.

0 / 6 ready

  • Your company name and one sentence about what you do
  • Three to five competitors customers compare you with
  • Examples of brands you like, with a short note on why
  • A list of places where the logo will be seen most
  • Existing materials if you have them: an old logo, photos, a proposal
  • A rough budget and the date the identity should be ready

What a visual identity is made of

The same list of elements appears in almost every identity. What changes is the scope: a small business needs the first five, a chain of shops needs all of them.

A logo or a full identity to start with

Not every company needs a brand book on day one. This is how it usually looks in the situations clients come to us with.

Sole trader offering a service

The Start package or a logo with a logo sheet is enough. Add the brand book when you have more materials.

A company with a team and sales staff

Identity Standard: several people make proposals and posts, so templates and a brand book save time from the first week.

A product brand

An identity plus packaging or label design. We choose colours and type for printing on the chosen material from the start.

A company a few years in

If your materials have drifted apart, start with an audit or a rebrand so you keep what customers already recognise.

Visual identity in practice

How an identity works day to day and how to check it does its job.

An example: one brand in five places

Picture a renovation company. On the van, customers see the logo in its horizontal version and a large phone number in the brand colour. On the business card, the same colour, the same typeface and the mark on the back. On the website, headings in the brand typeface, buttons in the accent colour and photos cropped by the same rule.

On social media, posts have a fixed frame and a place for a project photo, and the PDF proposal opens with a cover carrying the brand motif. None of these materials started from scratch: each uses the same rules. That is a visual identity at work.

A test of whether the identity works

Cover the logo on a few company materials and show them to someone outside. If they still recognise the same company, the identity works: colours, typefaces and the motif carry the brand without the mark. If every material looks like a different company, the problem is not the logo but the lack of a system.

The second test is a new team member. If they can prepare a post or proposal that fits the brand using only the templates and guidelines, the system is complete. If they have to ask the designer about every colour, something is missing.

Identity and your website

The website is where identity meets code. Colours need enough contrast for text, typefaces need licensed web versions, and the logo has to work in a narrow navigation bar and as a browser tab icon.

That is why the Full System package includes rules for the screen too: a palette with interface shades, a type scale and sample components. The web designer and developer get them ready to use, instead of translating print to screen on their own.

How much identity a small company needs

A sole trader offering a service does not need a 48-page brand book. A logo in a few versions, two colours, one typeface, a business card and an email signature are enough. That is the scope of the Identity Start package, which can be expanded later.

Expanding makes sense when more people or suppliers start creating materials. Then brand guidelines and templates save more time than they cost, because every new material is made faster and needs no corrections.

Typefaces and licences

A typeface is one of the most important elements of an identity and also the one most easily forgotten when it comes to paperwork. Some typefaces are free for commercial use too, others need a licence that differs for print, websites and apps.

In every package we choose typefaces with licence information and the places they can be used. If a typeface is paid, we say so before you choose and name a free substitute for office documents, so the team does not need a licence for every computer.
