A logo that also works at 16 pixels
Logos are usually shown in a presentation, on a white background and at a large size. There, almost any mark looks good. The real test is the browser tab icon, the social media avatar, a one-colour print on a pen and a sign seen from across the street. That is why we show every concept on applications like these before asking you to choose.
What you get in a logo project
Every package ends with files you can send straight to a printer, a developer and a sign maker.
Research
A review of competitor logos and of where the mark will be used, summarised in a short note before the concepts.
Concepts on applications
Every concept shown on a business card, an avatar, a browser icon and in one colour, not just on white.
Colour versions
The logo in colour, black and white, for light, dark and photo backgrounds.
Layouts
In Plus and Premium, a logo family: horizontal and vertical layouts, the mark alone and the wordmark alone.
Files
SVG and PNG for the web, PDF and EPS for print and, in the Plus package, a favicon and social media avatar.
Logo sheet
RGB, CMYK and HEX colours, clear space, minimum size and the typefaces used in the wordmark.
Rights
Transfer of full economic rights to the logo once the invoice is paid, within the fields of use in the contract.
One mark, the whole family
In Plus and Premium, a logo family: horizontal and vertical layouts, the mark alone and the wordmark alone.

How we design a logo
Brief1-2 days
Name, industry, audience, competitors and the places where the logo will be seen.
1Research1-3 days
A review of competitor logos and directions to avoid so you do not blend into the market.
2Concepts3-7 days
Sketches, the strongest directions and concepts shown on applications.
3Revisions2-4 days
Refining the chosen concept: proportions, colour, typeface and legibility at small sizes.
4Files and logo sheet1-3 days
Every version, file export, the logo sheet and the rights transfer.
5
We reserve about 15% of the project time for revisions. Choose the direction at the concept stage and spend revisions on the details of the chosen mark.
What logo design pricing depends on
The price depends mostly on the number of concepts and variants, not on whether the logo is simple or complex.
- 1
Number of concepts
Each concept is separate research into a direction, sketches and mockups on applications.
- 2
Variants
Horizontal, vertical, mark-only and colour versions each need their proportions refined, not just an export.
- 3
Rules
A one-page logo sheet is a different scope from a mini brand book with examples and misuse cases.
- 4
Mark complexity
A mark with an illustration or mascot needs more work and a simplified version for small sizes.
How not to overpay
- Come with the final name so the logo is not designed twice
- Choose the direction at the concept stage and spend revisions on details
- If you know you need more materials, consider a visual identity instead of a logo alone
- Share where the logo will be used so the right variants are made from the start
Who we design logos for
New companies
Logo Start with a logo sheet, so the brand looks consistent from the first invoice and business card.
Companies with a generator logo
A mark drawn from scratch that can be registered and does not look like hundreds of others.
Startups and apps
A mark that reads as an app icon and favicon, with a version for dark mode.
Product brands
A logo that works on packaging, labels and in an online shop.
Organisations and events
A mark for a foundation, club or conference, in versions for print and posters.
How to prepare for a logo project
You do not need to know what the logo should look like. It is enough to know who the company is for and where customers will see it.
0 / 6 ready
- The final company or product name
- A short description of your offer and customers
- Competitors you want to stand apart from
- The places where the logo matters most
- Logos you like, from any industry
- Colours or associations you want to avoid
Types of logo
Mark and wordmark
A symbol next to the name. The mark works alone as an avatar and app icon, and the name teaches customers whose symbol it is.
Wordmark only
The name set in a distinctive typeface. A good choice when the name is short and easy to remember.
Monogram
Initials or the first letter of the name. Useful for long names and brands that need a small mark.
Emblem
The name set inside a shape, like a seal or badge. It has character but is harder to shrink, so it usually needs a simplified version.
Which logo file to use where
| File | Where to use it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| SVG | website, app | sharp at any size and light |
| printer, sign maker | a vector any printer can open | |
| EPS | older software and plotters | a vector format many suppliers accept |
| PNG | documents, presentations, social media | transparent background, no software needed |
| Favicon | browser tab icon | a simplified mark readable at a few pixels |
How we assess a logo concept
Legibility at small sizes
Is the mark recognisable as a browser tab icon and as an avatar next to a comment?
One colour
Does the logo work in plain black and white, for example on an invoice, a stamp or an engraving?
Distinctiveness
With the name covered, does the mark avoid looking like the logos of your direct competitors?
Applications
Does the logo fit where it will be used most: a horizontal website header, a sign or a narrow pack?
Logo design without surprises
Answers to the questions that come up before ordering a logo, including the ones designers find awkward.
AI generator or designer: an honest view
A logo generator or an AI tool shows dozens of options in minutes, and sometimes that is enough: to test a business idea, for a one-off event or a hobby project. There is no point paying for design if the brand may not exist in six months.
Problems start when the company grows. A generated logo is usually a raster file with no dark background or one-colour version, it can resemble the marks of other companies, and the legal protection of graphics created entirely by AI is uncertain, which makes trademark registration harder. A designed logo gives you a vector, variants, a logo sheet and a contractual transfer of copyright.
Logo versus visual identity
A logo is one element of a brand. A visual identity adds colours, typefaces, a graphic motif and rules that make the website, business card and posts look like one company. Without them every new material starts from scratch and the brand begins to drift.
For a small company, a logo with a logo sheet is usually enough to start. Once there is a team, a website, proposals and social media, it is worth expanding into an identity. That is why our logo and identity packages are compatible: a logo from the Start package can later become part of a full system.
How to choose a concept as a team
Choosing a logo by a team vote easily ends in a compromise that convinces nobody. It is better to name one person who decides and ask the rest of the team for comments against specific criteria: legibility, associations and fit with your customers.
Judge concepts on applications, not on a white background. Waiting a day before deciding also helps, because first impressions are often a reaction to novelty rather than to the mark itself.
Trademark registration
A logo can be filed as a trademark with the Polish Patent Office or with EUIPO if you want protection across the European Union. The filing covers chosen classes of goods and services, and the cost depends on the office and the number of classes.
For the filing we provide the logo files in the required formats. You file yourself or through a patent attorney, who will also assess whether similar marks in those classes pose a risk. It is worth doing before large print runs and vehicle wraps.
What to do with a new logo in the first week
Start with digital places that change quickly: the favicon on your website, social media profile pictures, the email signature and your business listing in maps. Customers see them most, and the change takes minutes.
Then printed materials at the next reprint: business cards, letterhead, proposal templates. Expensive items such as the sign and vehicle wraps come last and are worth planning in the budget. If you are replacing an old logo, a transition plan from our rebranding service helps.
A logo at small and large sizes
The same logo has to work on a pen and on a billboard. Details that look beautiful at a large scale merge into a blot at a small one, and thin lines disappear. That is why for more complex marks we design a simplified version for small sizes, with fewer details and heavier lines.
The simplified version is not a separate logo but the same mark prepared for another scale. The logo sheet says from which size to use which version, so the printer and developer do not have to guess.
