One studio from key art to emotes

Game and creator art is easy to order piece by piece: the logo from one artist, capsules from another, emotes from a third, and the trailer from someone else again. Each has a different style, deadline and file set, and on launch day the game or channel looks stitched together. We do these things in one place and in one style.

Aphrodi is a graphic design and branding studio, and the Games and creators section combines our services: 2D illustration, pixel art, 3D modelling and animation, video editing, interface design and branding. That way key art, the game logo, Steam images, the trailer and the press kit come from one brief, and the Twitch overlay, emotes and VTuber model share one character and palette.

We work with the software house VulCode, which builds game websites, server stores and Discord bots. If you need more than art, the project moves into development without being explained to another company.

Prices are listed for every package, in PLN net, with a described scope: the number of shots, animation frames, emotes or screens. Economic rights to the art pass to you once the invoice is paid, so you can use it in the game, on Steam, on merch and in ads.

Communities and esports

For teams, servers and communities: logos, mascots and graphics that bring people together.

Bundles

Two sets that are ordered together because they share a style and a deadline. The price is the sum of the packages, and we run the whole thing from one brief and one schedule.

Bundle prices are the sum of the starting prices of packages from the price list, with no surcharge and no discount. You can change the mix: every element can be swapped for a smaller or larger package of the same service.

A studio instead of a single artist

A single artist can be brilliant at one thing. A studio is responsible for the whole and for making every piece fit.

One style on everything

Key art, logo, capsules, trailer and press kit come from one brief, so the game looks the same on Steam, in the trailer and in the press.

Prices and scope on the page

Every package has a starting price and a file list. You do not have to wait for a quote to plan a launch budget.

Files ready to use

We deliver files in the formats of your engine, OBS, VTube Studio or Steamworks, not just PNGs to rework.

Continuity

After launch we can keep the art going: updates, sales events, new emotes and seasonal capsule versions.

A game studio brand we designed

Lunatic Studios is a game studio getting ready for its official launch. We designed its brand from scratch.

A game studio brand depends on different things than a service company: the logo has to work on the title screen, in the game intro, as a Discord avatar and on a trade fair booth, often in motion. We bring that experience to every game and studio logo project.

Game and channel art step by step

What is worth knowing before you order game art, channel branding or community graphics.

When to order game art

Ideally when you know the style of the game, but before most assets exist. At that stage an art bible, a set of style rules with examples, fixes character proportions, the palette, lighting and level of detail. With it, further art made by us or by your team fits together.

Art for a festival demo or a Steam page is a separate moment. The priority then is what players see first: the main character, the first level, the interface and the key art. The rest can be refined later, but a first impression is hard to fix.

A Steam page before launch

A Steam page collects wishlists long before launch, and its images work in many places at once: search results, the front page, sales events and the player library. Each place has a different size and crop, so a capsule cannot simply be a cropped key art.

That is why we start with the key art, the main illustration of the game, then compose each image separately, with a logo that reads in the smallest version. It is also worth planning seasonal and sale versions, which Steam lets you swap in for the duration of events.

A trailer and press kit for the announcement

For an announcement, media and creators need three things: a short trailer, a set of images for the article and facts they can copy into the text. We edit the trailer from gameplay of your build, and the press kit gathers the logo in several versions, key art, screenshots, GIFs and a description in one place.

The easier it is for a journalist or streamer to find the materials, the better the chance they write about or show the game. That is why we prepare the press kit so everything downloads in one click and file names say what is inside.

A creator channel from scratch

Channel branding is best started from the character or mark of the creator, because emotes, alerts, badges and thumbnails grow out of it. If you stream as a VTuber, the model is the centre of the whole brand, and the overlay and emotes should speak the same language of colours and shapes.

To start, an overlay with starting and break screens, a few emotes and a thumbnail layout are enough. Further elements, such as animated alerts or new subscriber emotes, can be added as the channel grows, in the same style.

Communities, teams and servers

A Discord server, a Minecraft server or an esports team lives on people who want to identify with it. A mascot logo, role icons and emotes are things members use every day, so they should read at small sizes and be consistent with each other.

For a server network or an organisation with several teams we design a system: a shared mark and rules from which game mode logos or roster logos are made. That way a new mode or a new team does not need everything designed from scratch.

Rights to art and characters

Once the invoice is paid, we transfer the economic rights to the art within the fields of use described in the contract: in the game, on sales platforms, in ads, on merch and in press materials. This also covers characters, mascots and VTuber models we design for you.

We do not sell the same art to other clients. If we want to show a project in our portfolio, we ask for permission, and we do not show an unannounced game anywhere until you announce it yourself.
