Stream branding glossary
Scene
A set of sources in OBS: game, webcam, overlay and alerts, switched with one click.
Browser source
A web page shown in a scene, such as alerts from Streamlabs or StreamElements.
WebM with transparency
Video with a transparent background that OBS shows like an animated graphic over the game.
Stinger
A short animation that covers the screen during a transition between scenes.
A channel viewers recognise from the first frame
Viewers arrive from a category list, a clip or a raid and decide in seconds whether to stay. Consistent branding tells them the channel is run seriously: the webcam frame matches the break screen, the panels look like part of the same channel, and alerts do not pop up in three different styles.
We design the branding around you, your character or your brand. If you have a logo, a mascot or a VTuber model, the overlay develops their colours and shapes. If you do not, we start with a simple channel mark and palette, from which emotes, badges and thumbnails grow later.
An overlay has to work with the game you play. The webcam frame must not cover the minimap, and the info bar must not sit where the game shows its interface. That is why we ask for screenshots of the games you stream and lay out elements so they do not clash with the HUD.
Files are delivered ready to add in OBS or Streamlabs, with instructions for setting up scenes. In the animated version, screens and alerts are videos with a transparent background that work like ordinary media sources.

How we design channel branding
Brief1 day
Your channel, the games you stream, your logo, character and channels you like.
1Style2-3 days
One game scene designed on a screenshot of your game, for approval.
2Full set3-7 days
The other scenes, screens, panels and banners in the same style.
3Animation1-2 weeks
Alerts, screens and transitions in motion, in the animated packages.

We reserve about 15% of the project time for revisions. An early test of a scene in OBS on a real stream or recording saves the most.
What Twitch branding pricing depends on
Animation and the number of scenes make the biggest difference.
- 1
Animation
Screens and alerts in motion mean separate animation work for each element.
- 2
Number of scenes
Each scene, such as gameplay, chatting or a tournament, is a separate layout.
- 3
Character
A character or mascot illustration on the screens is an extra drawing.
- 4
Game variants
Several webcam layouts for different games need separate versions.
How not to overpay
- Start with Starter and grow the branding
- Prepare screenshots of the games you stream
- Order branding together with emotes
- Pick one webcam layout for most games
Who we design Twitch branding for
New streamers
When the channel should launch with proper branding instead of a free template.
Growing channels
When a channel built on templates needs a character of its own.
VTubers
When the overlay should match the model and character of the channel.
Game studios
When the studio streams development and needs branding in the style of the game.
Tournament organisers
When an event broadcast needs scenes, cards and break screens.
What to prepare before a branding project
A channel link and a few details are enough. We will settle the rest in the brief.
0 / 6 ready
- Your channel link and the name to display
- Logo, character or VTuber model, if you have them
- Screenshots of the games you stream
- Where you like your webcam and chat
- Your streaming software and alert service
- Channels whose branding you like

An overlay that helps the stream instead of getting in the way
The game first, decoration second
Viewers come to watch the game and you, not frames. An overlay that takes half the screen, covers the minimap or flashes for every new follower becomes tiring after a few minutes. That is why we design sparingly: a webcam frame, a discreet bar and space for alerts, laid out around the game interface.
If you stream different games, we prepare a layout that works with most of them, or a few webcam position variants. We check them on screenshots of the games you actually stream.
Starting and break screens
A starting screen gives viewers a few minutes to join before you start playing, and a break screen keeps them on the channel while you step away. We design them with room for text and a timer you set in OBS, so you do not need new graphics for every change.
The ending screen is a good place for the next stream's schedule and a raid notice. All three screens share one layout, so the channel looks consistent from the first minute to the last.
Alerts that delight rather than tire
An alert is a thank-you to a viewer in front of the whole chat, so it should be visible but short. An entrance animation, the viewer's name and a short sound are enough. Long, loud alerts in an active chat can cover the game for longer than the action itself.
We prepare alerts as images or videos with transparency, which you upload to Streamlabs or StreamElements. You pick sounds in those services from their libraries or your own files.
One look across several platforms
If you stream to Twitch, YouTube or Kick at the same time, the OBS overlay works the same everywhere, because it is part of the picture you send. What differs is everything off stream: banners, panels and thumbnails have different places and sizes on each platform.
That is why we design the branding as a system: shared colours, typefaces and a channel mark, from which we prepare versions for each platform. YouTube thumbnails are a separate service, made in the same style as the overlay.
Panels and banners off stream
A channel lives even when you are not live. The profile banner, offline banner and panels are the first things someone sees when they reach the channel from search or a link. Twitch scales the profile banner to the window width, so we place key elements on the left, as Twitch help recommends.
We design panels as headers 320 pixels wide, and you type the content below them in Twitch's editor. That way you can change the schedule or rules without ordering new graphics.
