Four ways to a logo

An online generator gives you a mark in minutes, but usually as one raster file, with no version for dark backgrounds and no certainty that someone else does not already have a similar one. A freelancer is cheaper than a studio and the quality depends on the person. Studios and agencies follow a process: research, concepts, variants, files and documentation.

The choice depends on what the logo is for. If you are testing an idea over a weekend, a generator is enough. If the logo goes on a sign, a van, packaging and a website, every saving on files and variants comes back at the first print run.

What a logo costs at Aphrodi

Logo Start costs 1,200 PLN net: one refined concept after competitor research, a mark and wordmark, colour, black and white versions, SVG, PDF, EPS and PNG files and a one-page logo sheet. It takes 7-10 working days.

Logo Plus at 2,200 PLN gives two concepts to choose from, a logo family with eight layout and colour variants, a favicon and social avatar and a four-page logo sheet, in 10-14 working days. Logo Premium at 3,600 PLN adds an online workshop, three concepts and mini brand guidelines, in 14-21 working days.

What drives the price

The number of concepts affects the price most, because each one is a separate direction to research and draw. The second factor is the number of variants: a logo that has to work on a sign, an avatar and a pen needs several layouts. The third is documentation, from a one-page logo sheet to guidelines with rules.

A cheap logo costs the most when it has to be rebuilt from a blurry file before the first print.

What to watch when comparing offers

Compare the scope, not just the amount. Check how many concepts you get, which file formats, whether there is a vector version, whether you get full rights and how much time there is for revisions. An offer without this information usually means something is missing.
