Logo vectorization: from a blurry JPG or photo to SVG, PDF and EPS files

We redraw your logo by hand as a vector when all you have is a small JPG, a screenshot or a photo of a sign. You get sharp SVG, PDF, EPS and PNG files that printers, plotters and developers accept. Simple vectorization costs from 150 PLN net.

When you need a vector

The printer asks for a vector logo, the sign maker for a plotter file and the developer for an SVG.

BeforeAfter

Enlarged, the edges are jagged and the colours blurred.

The logo recreated by hand, with smooth curves and as few points as possible.

What you get in a vectorization

We deliver files in a pack with clear names, so you know which one goes to the printer and which to the developer.

  • Redrawn mark

The logo recreated by hand, with smooth curves and as few points as possible.

  • Text in the logo

The original typeface matched, or the letters redrawn to look as in the original.

  • Colours

Colours recreated from the best available source and recorded in RGB, CMYK and HEX.

  • Vector files

SVG for the web, PDF and EPS for print and plotters.

  • PNG files

Transparent-background versions in several sizes for documents and social media.

  • Logo sheet

In the largest package, a one-page sheet with versions, colours and clear space.

Why automatic vectorization is not enough

Jagged edges

The software follows pixels, so a smooth arc becomes a series of tiny steps.

Hundreds of extra points

The file is heavy, and plotters cut unevenly and more slowly.

Wobbly letters

Text turns into shapes of uneven weight instead of a real typeface.

Merged colours

Blurry JPG transitions turn into extra patches of colour.

When you need a vector

The printer asks for a vector logo, the sign maker for a plotter file and the developer for an SVG. Meanwhile, the only version of the logo you have is a small JPG from an email signature or a photo of an old business card. Enlarged, the edges are jagged and the colours blurred.

A vector is a logo saved as shapes and curves rather than pixels. It can be scaled to billboard size without losing sharpness, recoloured with one click and cut on a plotter. That is why suppliers ask for it.

We vectorize by hand. Automatic tools turn pixels into curves, but they leave jagged edges, uneven arcs, hundreds of extra points and wobbly letters. We redraw the mark the way a designer would: with smooth arcs, straight lines and a matched typeface.

We recreate the logo faithfully, without design changes. If we notice something worth improving, such as elements too thin to survive at small sizes, we describe it, but we change it only if you ask.

How we vectorize a logo

  1. Filesa few hours

You send every version of the logo you have. We pick the best source and confirm the package.

We reserve about 15% of the project time for revisions, meaning refining details that were illegible in the original.

What vectorization pricing depends on

We set the price after seeing the file. It depends on the logo and the quality of the source, not on what the vector will be used for.

  1. 1

    Shapes and details

A wordmark with a simple mark is quicker to redraw than an illustration with many elements.

  2. 2

    Colours and gradients

Every colour transition has to be recreated by hand to print smoothly.

  3. 3

    Source quality

From a photo or a blurry file, we first have to work out how the logo looked.

  4. 4

    Letters

A recognised typeface saves time. Hand-drawn letters have to be recreated one by one.

How not to overpay

  • Look for a PDF invoice or an old flyer, as they may contain a vector
  • Send the best available source, even if it is small
  • Photograph the sign straight on and in good light
  • Order several logos at once rather than one at a time

Who we vectorize logos for

  • Companies without logo files

A proper vector instead of a small JPG the printer will not accept.

  • Companies about to get a sign or vehicle wrap

A plotter file the sign maker requires.

  • Clubs, associations and schools

A crest or emblem recreated from a diploma, a flag or an old stamp.

  • Companies ordering merch

A vector for screen printing, embroidery and engraving.

  • Agencies and printers

Quick vectorization of a client logo before the job goes ahead.

What to send for vectorization

Send every version of the logo you have. The best source is often not the obvious one.

0 / 6 ready

  • Every file with the logo, even small and blurry
  • A PDF invoice or document with the logo, as it may contain a vector
  • Photos of the sign, vehicle or business card taken straight on
  • The typeface name, if you know it
  • Brand colours, if they are written down
  • What you need the files for

Simple or complex

The package depends on the logo and the source we work from. If you are unsure, send the file and we will confirm the package before we start.

When the logo only exists on a sign or in a photo

Sometimes a company has had its logo for over a decade, and the only trace left is a sign, a wrapped van or an old stamp. The designer is long gone, and the files went with them. In that case we work from photos: ideally several, taken straight on and in good light.

In a photo, perspective and reflections distort shapes, so we compare several sources to establish how the mark looked originally. If some details cannot be read, we show a proposal and ask before filling anything in.
