Flyer, folder and catalogue design: from an A6 flyer to a catalogue with price lists, for print and PDF

We design single and double-sided flyers, folded leaflets, product catalogues and company brochures. We arrange a flyer so the offer reads in seconds, and take a catalogue from a page plan, through tables and price lists, to a print file and an interactive PDF. A single-sided flyer costs from 300 PLN net, a folded leaflet from 850 PLN and a catalogue from 1,200 PLN.

What you get in a flyer, leaflet or catalogue project

We check every file against the printer requirements before sending it, and deliver every project as a print version and a version for sending.

  • Flyer or leaflet design

A layout with one main message, the offer and clear contact details, and for a leaflet every panel in folding order.

  • Mock-up

For a leaflet, a folding diagram with panels and creases marked; for a catalogue, a page plan split into categories and section openers.

  • Master pages and typesetting

In a catalogue, the cover, contents, category opener, product page and price list page, and on them every page set from your copy, photos, tables and specifications.

  • Print file

A PDF with bleed, CMYK colours and outlined fonts, with crease lines for a leaflet and in spreads or single pages to the printer requirements for a catalogue.

  • Version for sending

A light PDF or PNG of the flyer for email and social media, and the catalogue as an interactive PDF with a clickable table of contents, product links and contact details.

  • Open file and template

On request, the source file of the flyer or leaflet to change prices and dates, and in catalogues from 24 pages a template with styles for the next edition.

A flyer has a few seconds, a catalogue needs order

People look at a flyer on the way from the letterbox to the bin or at a counter between one errand and the next. In that time they must understand what you offer, why it is worth it and what to do next. That is why we start with the content hierarchy, not the background, and help choose one main message instead of a list of services, company history, five photos and three phone numbers.

A folded leaflet gives more space but also more decisions: what goes on the cover, what customers see after the first unfold and what comes last. We design it as a sequence, taking into account how the paper folds and where the creases fall.

A catalogue is read differently from a flyer. Customers browse it, return to specific pages, compare products and look for a price or a specification. We design it as a system: first a page plan, then a few master pages, and on them all the content, with tables that read row by row and one way of writing units throughout the publication.

We do not print. We prepare print files with bleed and suggest paper, and you pay the printer directly. If copy is missing, we write it as part of copywriting, and if product photos for the catalogue are missing, we can prepare 3D packshots from models, in one light and one framing.

How to lay out a flyer that works

One main message

The largest element is the benefit or offer, not the logo and company name.

Specifics over slogans

A price, a date, a discount or a list of services says more than a quality slogan.

One call to action

Call, scan the code or bring the flyer. One action, clearly highlighted.

Contact you can see

Phone and address where the eye stops reading, not in small print in a corner.

How we design a flyer, leaflet or catalogue

  1. Brief and content1-4 days

The goal and where it will be handed out, and for a catalogue the format, print run, binding and the full content: copy, photos, tables.

    1
  2. Hierarchy and page plan1-4 days

The main message and the order of information, and for a catalogue a plan of pages and categories agreed before design.

    2
  3. Design1-7 days

A layout in your brand style, every panel in folding order for a leaflet, the cover and master pages for a catalogue.

    3
  4. Catalogue typesetting1-3 weeks

Setting all catalogue content on the approved masters. Flyers and leaflets skip this stage.

    4
  5. Revisions and files1-5 days

Refining and proofreading, print files, a web version or interactive PDF and the template.

    5

We reserve about 15% of the project time for revisions. Send copy in final form and catalogue content complete before typesetting, because every text change also changes the layout and adding products afterwards shifts the following pages.

What flyer, leaflet and catalogue design pricing depends on

The price depends mostly on the number of pages and panels, then on the amount of tables and the state of the content we work with.

  1. 1

    Number of pages and panels

The back of a flyer, leaflet panels and every catalogue spread are further layouts to design or set, even on a ready master.

  2. 2

    Amount of content and tables

A price list, a technical table or an event programme takes more work than a single offer or running text.

  3. 3

    State of copy and photos

Copy to edit and photos to cut out, retouch or match extend the project.

  4. 4

    Versions

The same flyer in several variants, for example for different cities, means extra files, and each catalogue language version is a separate layout and proofread.

How not to overpay

  • Send copy in final form and catalogue content complete before typesetting
  • Choose one main message for the flyer before we start
  • Prepare tables in a spreadsheet and name photos with product codes
  • Order several flyers in one style at once
  • Ask the printer for requirements before design

Who we design flyers, leaflets and catalogues for

  • Local businesses, shops and salons

A door-drop flyer or a counter discount flyer with one offer, a clear phone number and a social media version.

  • Restaurants and cafes

A DL takeaway menu or a leaflet with the full menu.

  • Manufacturers and wholesalers

A product catalogue with specs, codes and prices for sales staff and customers.

  • B2B companies and trade fairs

A leaflet or brochure to hand out at the booth, a proposal as a publication and a PDF to send after the meeting.

  • Developers and estate agencies

A development brochure with floor plans, visuals and prices.

  • Schools, organisations and institutions

A class schedule or event programme on a flyer and an annual report with charts in a readable layout.

What to prepare for the project

Final copy, complete content before typesetting and a clear idea of where the material will go save the most time.

0 / 8 ready

  • The goal of the flyer or catalogue and where it will be handed out
  • Final copy
  • For a catalogue, a list of products or chapters in the final order
  • Tables and price lists in a spreadsheet
  • Full-resolution photos, for a catalogue ideally named with product codes
  • Logo, colours and typefaces
  • Format, print run, binding and printer, if already chosen
  • The QR code link and the previous catalogue edition, if there are any

Flyers, leaflets and catalogues from design to printer

A folded leaflet: what goes on which panel

An A4 leaflet folded in three has six panels, but customers do not see them all at once. First the cover, then the panel revealed when the first flap opens, and only at the end the whole inside. So the cover carries the main message, the first unfold invites further reading, and the inside holds the offer details.

The panel that folds inwards must be 2-3 millimetres narrower than the others, or the leaflet will not fold flat. We account for that in the file and include a folding mock-up so the printer has no doubts.

Which paper for a flyer or leaflet

Flyers for wide distribution are usually printed on thinner coated paper, while flyers left at a counter or handed over in person go on thicker stock that feels better in the hand. Matte paper looks elegant and is easier to write on; gloss makes photo colours pop.

It is worth agreeing paper weight and type with the printer before design, because they affect how dark backgrounds and small text look. On a leaflet, thick paper needs creasing so it does not crack at the folds.

Catalogue page count and binding

A saddle-stitched catalogue must have a page count divisible by four, because it is made of folded sheets. That is why we plan pages so categories fit the count, and any spare pages become a contact page or an ad for one of your services.

For thicker publications printers suggest perfect binding, with a spine that can carry the title. The spine width depends on the page count and paper, so we design the cover once the printer gives us the dimensions.

Tables and price lists people can read

Tables are where customers get lost in a catalogue most easily. A fixed column order throughout the publication helps, as do subtle bands between rows, right-aligned numbers and one way of writing units.

With many products, we split tables by what customers compare: size, power, material. Prices that change more often than the catalogue can move to a separate price list, so you do not reprint everything with every change.

Product photos and 3D packshots

A catalogue with products photographed in different light and on different backgrounds looks chaotic even with good page design. If photos are inconsistent, we can cut them out and match them; if products do not exist yet, we can prepare 3D packshots from models.

The advantage of 3D packshots is that every product shares the same framing and light, and a new colour variant needs no shoot. It is a separate service we quote together with the catalogue.

The next print run and the next edition without starting over

For a flyer or leaflet, on request we hand over an open file where you can change prices or dates for the next print run. A catalogue comes back every season or year with new products and prices, so in packages from 24 pages we hand over a template with text, table and product page styles, and the next edition is set on ready masters.

For the next edition you can come back to us with new content or give the template to your own designer. Either way, the catalogue keeps the same style.

Flyers and catalogues online

The same flyer often goes into an email, onto Facebook or onto a website. The print file is too heavy and has bleed that looks like a mistake online, so we always prepare a light web version too. If the flyer has a QR code, the web version replaces it with a clickable link, because nobody can scan a code from the same phone screen they are looking at.

We deliver a catalogue as an interactive PDF with a clickable table of contents, product links and a contact button, and on request also as pages in image form for a browser or a publication platform. If you have an online shop, the catalogue does not need to repeat everything on the website. It works better as a selection: key categories, new products and items worth seeing in a larger format, with QR codes leading to product pages.

Such a catalogue is easier to update, because changing information such as availability and prices stays in the shop. In the interactive PDF, links lead straight to products, so a catalogue sent by email becomes a path to purchase.
