In short

How much does website design cost?

A site of up to 10 pages starts at 3,400 PLN net, up to 50 pages from 7,900 PLN and a site with no page limit from 14,900 PLN. The price covers wireframes, desktop and mobile design and components. Development is quoted separately. A site of up to 10 pages takes 3 to 4 weeks, up to 50 pages 5 to 8 weeks and a large site from 8 weeks. The biggest factors are how ready the content is and how quickly wireframes are approved.

From wireframe to a finished site

What you get in a website design project

Every package ends with a Figma file ready for development and a short handover to the developer.

  • Sitemap

A list of pages with their purpose and links, agreed before the visual design.

  • Wireframes

Layout diagrams of key pages where we agree content and section order without discussing colours.

  • Desktop and mobile design

Every unique page template for desktop and mobile, including how buttons, menus and forms behave.

  • Component library

Buttons, cards, forms and sections as Figma components with variants, so the developer never has to guess.

  • Styles and tokens

Colours, typography, spacing and radii saved as styles. In the unlimited package also tokens with documentation.

  • Clickable prototype

From 50 pages up, a prototype of the main flows you can click through before development.

  • Accessibility

Text contrast checked against WCAG, readable sizes and focus states on interactive elements.

  • Handover

A tidy Figma file, a description of how elements behave and a call with the developer when development starts.

What website design covers

Website design is more than a pretty home page. It is deciding which pages you need, the order in which customers read the content, where the buttons go and how the same section works on a phone. We start with a sitemap and wireframes, simple layout diagrams, and only draw the visual design in your brand style once the structure is approved.

We price packages by the number of pages because that is how the work grows. A site of up to 10 pages usually has a few unique templates: home, services, a service page, about and contact. A site of up to 50 pages needs more templates and a consistent component library, and a large site with no page limit is designed as a system with tokens and documentation your team can build every new page from.

We work in Figma, so everything sits in one file you can open in a browser and comment on directly. The developer gets components with variants, spacing, colours and typography as styles, not screenshots.

Development is not included in the design price. It can be done by the software house VulCode, whom we work with every day, so design and code come from one team. If you have your own developer, we hand the design over and answer their questions.

How we design a website

  1. Brief and content2-4 days

Goal, audience, competitors and a content list. We agree who writes the copy and where photos come from.

    1
  2. Sitemap and wireframes1-2 weeks

Page structure and section layout in wireframes. You approve content and order before any visual design.

    2
  3. Visual design1-3 weeks

The home page first, then the other templates for desktop and mobile.

    3
  4. Revisions and components1-2 weeks

Revisions and tidying up components, styles and element states for the developer.

    4
  5. Handover2-3 days

The Figma file, a behaviour description and a call with your developer or the VulCode team.

We reserve about 15% of the project time for revisions. Most changes are best made at the wireframe stage, where they cost the least.

What a website design price depends on

Two sites with ten pages each can cost differently, because the page count is only one factor.

  1. 1

    Number of unique templates

Ten service pages with the same layout are one template. Ten different layouts are ten designs.

  2. 2

    State of the content

Ready copy and photos shorten the project. If content is still being written, wireframes are designed on examples and adjusted later.

  3. 3

    Interaction complexity

Multi-step forms, filters, configurators and dashboards need many states of a single screen to be designed.

  4. 4

    System scope

A component library is enough for a small site. A site developed by a team needs a design system with tokens and documentation.

How not to overpay

  • Count templates, not pages: repeated pages do not raise the design price
  • Prepare copy or order copywriting with the design so we do not design around placeholder text
  • Approve the structure at the wireframe stage, where changes are cheapest
  • If the site will grow, choose a design system now instead of rebuilding after a year

Who we design websites for

  • Service businesses

A site that says in seconds what you do, for whom and how to get in touch, with a page for each service.

  • Startups and SaaS

A product site with pricing, features and a sign-up flow, designed together with the brand identity.

  • Software houses and agencies

A site with services, case studies and a blog that grows every month and needs a consistent component system.

  • Product brands

A brand site and product landing page in the style of the packaging, with room for 3D packshots and descriptions.

  • Organisations and foundations

A clear site with information, news and a form, accessible to older visitors too.

How to prepare for a website project

Knowing what should be on the site saves the most time. The visuals come later.

0 / 6 ready

  • The goal of the site: sales, enquiries, hiring or information
  • A list of pages, or at least the services and products you want to show
  • Copy if you have it, or a note that it needs writing
  • Your logo in vector format and brand colours
  • Three competitor sites and two sites you like
  • Who will build the site and on what technology

How many templates your site needs

The number of unique templates changes the price more than the number of pages. Twenty service pages with the same layout are one template.

Design with us, development at VulCode

Design and code can come from one team or from two. Both work; they differ in who keeps them in sync.

Development by VulCode

The software house we work with every day. They know our files, so handover is shorter and questions get answered as they come up.

Development by your developer

We hand over the Figma file and a behaviour description and answer questions. Before launch we can check that the site matches the design.

WordPress or a site builder

We design with the limits of the chosen tool in mind, so the design can be rebuilt faithfully without custom code.

Online store

We design stores as a separate scope with product pages, cart and account. Tell us which platform it runs on or will run on.

Website design from wireframe to development

What we pay attention to in every website project, and why.

Why wireframes come before visuals

A wireframe is a page layout without colours or photos: just blocks, headings and buttons. It looks modest, but the key decisions are made on it: which sections are needed, in what order customers read them and where they decide to get in touch.

A change on a wireframe takes minutes; a change in a finished visual design takes hours. That is why most comments are best raised at this stage. The visual design is built on an approved structure, so the discussion is about looks, not content.

The phone version is a separate design

On a phone, sections stack into one column, the menu hides behind a button, and tables and photos must fit into a few hundred pixels. It is not a shrunken page but a different way of reading.

We design every template for desktop and phone, and in larger packages for tablet too. We check button sizes under the thumb, heading lengths and what customers see on the first screen without scrolling.

Accessibility from the first interface sketch

A website should also work for people with low vision and for those using a keyboard or screen reader. In design that means enough text contrast, which under WCAG guidelines is at least 4.5 to 1 for regular text, readable sizes, a visible focus state on buttons and fields, and form labels that do not disappear on click.

These rules are easy to include at design time and hard to add after development. That is why we check them in every package, and in the unlimited package we write guidelines for your team.

Content and search in website design

A website meant to be found in search needs content planned together with the design: a separate page for each service, one main heading per page and sections that answer customer questions. A design without these decisions ends up with pages that have no room for text.

If the copy does not exist yet, we can write it as part of copywriting in parallel with the wireframes. Then the design is built on real content rather than filler that later does not fit the sections.

A website you can grow without a designer

A component library in Figma is a set of ready building blocks: sections, cards, buttons and forms. When you need a new page a year later, the developer assembles it from existing elements and the site stays consistent.

In the unlimited package, components get tokens, meaning named values for colours, spacing and typography shared by design and code. Changing the brand colour in one place then changes it across the whole site.

What a website costs: design versus development

The price on this page covers the visual design in Figma. Development, meaning building the site in code or in a content management system, is a separate cost that depends on the technology, integrations and features such as a shop, bookings or multiple languages.

When comparing quotes, check what exactly is included. A website offered for a low price can mean a ready-made template where design is limited to changing colours and the logo. A custom design starts from structure and content, so it costs more, but it also fits the company better.

How the design is handed over to the developer

At the end of the project we tidy up the Figma file: template pages, the component library, styles and a description of behaviour, such as what happens when a button is clicked or how a form error looks. The developer gets a link with access to measurements and asset export.

A conversation at the start of development clears up questions straight away rather than after a week of work. In larger packages we are also available during development and check finished pages against the design.
