A team people recognise by its mark
A team logo works in many places at once: as a small avatar in the game lobby and on Discord, on a jersey at a LAN tournament, on the stream banner and in match result graphics. It has to read in every one of them, and a mark that looks good at a large size can turn into a smudge at a small one.
That is why we design the logo as a system of versions: a full one with the mascot and name, the mark alone, a simplified version for avatars and a single colour version for embroidery and print. We draw the mascot with a bold line, a strong silhouette and a limited palette, so it can be embroidered, printed and animated.
The rest of the identity grows out of the logo: a jersey with space for sponsors, a number and a nickname, match graphic templates, channel banners, mascot emotes and stream graphics. For an organisation with several rosters we design a shared mark and rules for creating the badges of each new team.
We design logos from scratch, without templates or generators. Once the invoice is paid, the economic rights pass to the team or the person placing the order, so you can print merch, file the mark for protection and use it in sponsored streams. We do not produce jerseys or merch, we only prepare files for the producer you choose.

Ask about the kitMistakes in esports team logos
Each one makes the team harder to recognise and harder to present to sponsors.
A logo from a generator or template
Another team can have the same mark, and a ready-made design is hard to file as a trademark.
A mascot without a simplified version
A detailed illustration that looks good on a poster turns into a smudge as an avatar in the game lobby.
Effects that cannot be embroidered
Thin lines, gradients and lighting effects will not carry over into embroidery or a small print on a jersey.
A jersey with no space for sponsors
A sponsor who joins mid-season has nowhere to go on the jersey without redesigning the whole thing.
Unclear rights to the mark
If the team does not agree who orders the logo, it is hard to say later who owns the mark.
What to order at which stage of the team
| Stage | What we design | Why |
|---|---|---|
| New roster | logo, server icon and banner | recognition in the game lobby and on Discord |
| First tournaments | mascot logo, jersey print | a team recognisable at a LAN and on stream |
| Established organisation | jersey, match graphics, channel banners | consistent materials for fans and sponsors |
| Several rosters | a team badge system | a new roster without designing everything from scratch |
| Merch sales | a merch collection or line | fan products in the style of the team |
What to prepare before ordering a logo
Name and tag
The full team name and the tag that appears next to nicknames and in tournament tables.
Games and leagues
What you play and where you compete, because that decides where the logo has to work.
Character and colours
The associations the team should evoke, and the colours you want or do not want.
Owner of the mark
Who orders the logo and who the rights pass to: the team, the organisation or a specific person.
Jersey producer
If you know who it is, ask them for the cut template we will prepare the jersey design on.
An esports team identity step by step
A mark or a mascot
A team logo can be a mark alone with the name or an illustrated mascot.A mark is simpler, quicker and works well at small sizes. A mascot gives the team a character fans remember, one that lives on in emotes, alerts and merch.
Either way the logo is made from scratch, and we check every concept at icon size and on a jersey before delivering files.
Logo versions for small sizes
An avatar on Discord, in the game lobby and on a tournament team list is a small circle.Only a simplified mark works there, for example the mascot head alone or a mark without detail.
That is why every package includes a simplified version, together with the full and single colour versions. They are all part of one system, so the team is recognisable at every size.
A mascot that lives on
We draw the mascot with a bold outline, clear areas of colour and a limited palette, so it can be embroidered and printed. At a large size it still looks striking, and embroidered on a cap it stays legible.
We draw it in layers, so it is ready for animation in a stream intro, alerts and emotes. Mascot emotes for Discord and Twitch are designed in a separate service, in the same style.
Jerseys and sponsors
A team jersey is more than a logo on the chest. You have to plan space for sponsors, which will change, a number, the player's nickname and colours that look good on stage and on camera.
We prepare the jersey design on the cut template of the producer you choose, so sponsors can be swapped without redesigning the whole thing. You order production directly from the producer.
An organisation with several rosters
An organisation that fields teams in several games or has an academy roster needs a system: a shared mark and rules for creating the badges of each roster.
That way a new roster does not mean designing everything from scratch, and fans can see at once that it belongs to the same organisation.
Rights to the mark and trademarks
Once the invoice is paid, the economic rights to the logo pass to the team or the person placing the order. It is worth agreeing this within the team before ordering, so it is clear who owns the mark when the roster changes.
A logo designed from scratch can be filed as a trademark. Before filing it is worth searching trademark databases, and the filing itself is best left to a patent attorney.
