A mark that stays on the product for years

In a craft business, the logo does not stop at a business card. It goes on the product itself: burned under a table top, engraved on a board, stamped on a box, embossed in a leather wallet. That mark stays with the product for years and tells everyone who picks it up whose work it is.

Each technique has its limits. A branding iron cannot render thin lines, a laser engraver needs clean vector paths, an ink stamp floods small details, and leather embossing needs clear areas. That is why we design a workshop logo as a single colour mark from the start, simple in construction and legible at small sizes.

Besides the mark on the product, you need tags, labels and packaging that tell the story of the material, origin and care, and project photos on social media that clients use to choose a workshop. We design all of it in one style.

We do not do the marking or printing. We prepare files for the maker of your branding iron, stamp or die, for the engraver and the printer, and you pay them directly.

Mistakes in craft workshop logos

They show up at the first burn or engraving, when the die has already been ordered.

  • Lines that are too thin

Thin elements burn through in wood and flood with stamp ink.

  • Gradients and shadows

Branding irons, stamps and embossing have one colour. Any 3D effect simply disappears.

  • Tiny text

A long name with a small tagline becomes illegible at a few centimetres.

  • A background as part of the mark

A logo locked inside a coloured rectangle or circle burns as a dark patch. The mark should work without a background.

  • No single colour version

A logo that only exists in colour has to be reworked before every die order.

Product marking techniques

Each technique places different demands on a logo. Before designing we ask which you use.
TechniqueWhere it worksLogo requirements

Laser engravingwood, leather, metal, glassclean vector paths, a line and a fill version

What the die maker and engraver receive

Files we prepare so the maker does not have to redraw anything.

Single colour vector

An SVG, PDF or EPS file with closed shapes.

Size versions

A simplified version for small dies and a full one for large surfaces.

Dimensions

The target size of the mark on the product, agreed with you.

Line version

For laser engraving, a separate file for cutting or line engraving.

A craft workshop brand in practice

A logo that survives fire and chisel

The best test of a workshop logo is the branding iron.A mark that stays legible when burned into wood has a good chance of working in engraving, stamps and embroidery too. That is why we design it as a simple single colour shape, with lines thick enough not to burn through or fill with ink.

Before ordering a die, it is worth testing on the material you make products from. Hard and soft wood, light and dark leather take the mark differently, and the maker can suggest a minimum line weight for their technique.

Tags and labels that tell the product's story

Craft products sell with a story: what wood, where the material comes from, how long it took and how to look after it.A tag or label is the place for that information, and also part of a gift the client passes on.

We design tags and labels with a fixed layout and room for variable data, such as the wood species or the piece number. That way you can print them in small runs or fill them in by hand.

Projects on social media

Clients choose a workshop by its project photos.A consistent post layout, the same way of framing and captions with material and dimensions make the profile look like a portfolio rather than a random set of photos.

We prepare post templates in Canva, with space for a photo, the project name and a short description. Showing the process, from raw material to the finished piece, builds trust in the price of handmade work.

Fairs, markets and online sales

Craft workshops sell in several ways: to order, at craft fairs and markets, in an online store and on marketplaces. In each place a client meets the brand differently: at a fair they see the stall, the sign and the tags; online they see photos, a description and the parcel they open at home.

That is why we design the brand to work in both worlds. The same mark burned into the product, a sticker on the wrapping paper and a card in the parcel help clients remember the workshop and come back for another piece or recommend it to friends.
